Learn more about Bodelwyddan Castle & Park
Bodelwyddan Castle & Park are many things; a museum retelling Victorian history, a gallery hosting beautiful and varied works of art, a unique resource in support of schools and local communities, and a great place for lots of family fun.
We are a small, dedicated charity, devoted to learning and providing opportunities for people of all ages to discover something new. Our displays gives visitors the chance to get up close to works by eminent Welsh artists and the parkland and woods, rich in wildlife, offer great spaces for exploring and connecting with the natural world.
Set within extensive grounds, Bodelwyddan Castle is well placed for school visits, offering workshops and tours on portraiture, nature in art, history and the different lives of servants and gentry. Rich in local history, we are able to commemorate the past in retelling their stories to present and future generations.
Our new reproduction World War 1 trenches are a one-of-its-kind for the UK. The Trenches Experience at Bodelwyddan Castle invites people to explore their past, share stories and learn more about war and the life of a soldier. The project marks a starting point for making connections with the past and learning lessons for the future.
With all this and more on offer we are extremely thankful for all the help and support we receive. We invite you to get involved in any way you can as it really does make a difference.
