Family Fun The Park
Explore the Park
Where else will you find woodland trails, a children's playground, formal walled gardens and replica World War 1 trenches built close to the archaeological remains of the originals?
What's OnThe 260-acre grounds at Bodelwyddan Castle & Park make for a great day out for everyone. There's a formal walled garden and hedge maze to explore - which youngsters love of course! Enjoy a beautiful woodland stroll where children can look for butterflies and mini beasts.
For a truly unique experience, visit our replica World War 1 trenches, which opened to the public in 2017. Built near what remains of the original practice trenches, part of historic Kinmel training camp, the reproduction trenches are a warren of corridors, huts and areas with firing steps. Access to the Trench is by guided tour only, and these may be booked at the Castle. Maximum numbers apply at any given time. This amazing one-off attraction brings to life the incredible stories of the Great War and promises a memorable experience.
The 16-acre grounds also include a Welsh fruit orchard and picnic areas. One of our most popular attractions with our younger visitors is Rabbit Wood, our adventure playground.
Please note, only registered assistance dogs are allowed.
