Bodelwyddan Castle hosted a day of activities on the 22 September as part of Wicked:16, International Youth Film Festival. The castle was closed to visitors during the day because we were showing special scratch 'n' sniff screenings of Roald Dahl's Matilda for local school children. Other events were arranged throughout the evening for our international guests too. This event was part of a UK-wide Roald Dahl on Film project put together by Chapter and Film Hub Wales. It was being brought to Bodelwyddan Castle by Wicked:16. a local partnership set up to:
"support young filmmakers in their creative efforts AND creating a film culture in Wales where young people are encouraged and given support to express their ideas and explore their talents".
Wicked:16 was the springboard for a week of workshops inspired by Roald Dahl's books on the theme of Love Literature, organised by Bodelwyddan Castle Trust for the benefit of local school children. These activities mark the Centenary of Roald Dahl's birthday.
